Steady as I navigate

Once upon an afternoon I was sitting at a makeshift park, on a makeshift bench, having makeshift lunch. A grasshopper among the gravel peeked at me - the one I accidentally kicked the day before. It might've recognised me. I was waiting for the sky to rain but the sun was all out that day. The makeshift canopy overhead barely sheltered me. I took out my camera and took a picture of me wearing half a smile. I wanted to leave this place, I thought. Because there can never be a happily-ever-after. There can only be knowing where else to go.
